Confesiones inconfesas (Aveux non avenus, 1930) is a re-reading of the tradition of confessions, elaborated with fragments of diaries, letters, poems, aphorisms, dialogues… in which reality and fiction mix freely to give rise to a more “true” portrait of the author. An autofiction before autofiction existed.

The phone book house

Some people queued up to get the book signed by the author Xuan lan. Others, on the other hand, have crowded in front of the store to access it.  They have also formed queues to get a book in front of the stop that has the store on the street.
In statements to this media, some citizens have shown their indignation at the crowds in the middle of the pandemic. “It’s unbelievable, we don’t learn. This way we go headlong into a fifth wave”, explains Marta, a young woman who was passing through the area and who has fled the place as soon as she has seen the panorama.
Others, like Álvaro, took the heat off the matter. “I came here to buy a book for my girlfriend. It’s true that there are a lot of people, but it’s normal, it must be rush hour.  I’ve taken advantage of the fact that I’ve just left work to buy her the book and then I’ll go and get the rose,” he explained.

Online bookstore

The Book Chamber has said that “according to the new measures adopted by the health authorities, the Book and Rose Day on July 23rd will be celebrated, in the city of Barcelona, in every bookstore and florist” in a decentralized way, although due to the measures approved by the Government, an appointment must be made before going to the stores.
In the communiqué, the Book Chamber and Florists are grateful for “the effort and support” they are receiving from the Department of Culture of the Generalitat, the Barcelona City Council and all the city councils of Catalonia, as well as other companies and institutions that are contributing to make possible a reunion of readers with the authors on July 23rd “with all the security guarantees that the current moment demands”.
